Biography

Ms. Best currently resides in Uptown Charlotte, NC where she serves as the Founder and Managing Consultant of M.L. Best Consulting. M.L. Best Consulting is a 100% minority, woman owned and operated executive to mid-level leadership search and career development firm with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion being at the core of its values

She spent many years prior to delivering top talent through seamless, client-focused service to companies within the Healthcare, Government, CPG, Technology and Private Equity spaces. Prior to starting her own firm, she served as the Healthcare practice leader responsible for client development and full-cycle recruiting within an Executive Search firm and led recruitment and retention for a large health system.

Morgan holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from The Medical University of South Carolina and a Master of Business Administration from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina. She also earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the College of Charleston, where she continues to serve on the board of directors and support the Give Back Strategic Initiative.

She has a proven track record of building meaningful, long lasting relationships with both candidates and clients by delivering high quality service in an efficient manner to support her clients’ organizational strategy, mission and vision.

John Horton

Leadership Development Consultant

Biography

John is a practice manager of the Independent Consultants Network (ICN). He works closely with the full spectrum of consulting and coaching partners to deliver data-based solutions and ensure assessment quality across a variety of organizational cultures and industries. 

He also provides commercial and interpretive support to thousands of Hogan users and their clients who wish to incorporate personality assessments and data into their selection and development engagements. 

John is responsible for providing training on Hogan products and best practices to offer simple solutions for complex problems in the talent management industry. John has worked with global organizations, including many Fortune 500 companies, in the areas of high-stakes talent selection and development, product development, assessment interpretation, marketing, and entrepreneur development.

 John holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in psychology from the University of North Florida, where he graduated magna cum laude. He has published research in journals such as Applied Cognitive Psychology, Computers & Education, and Computers in Human Behavior

Biography

Mr. Brent Best Currently resides in Atlanta, GA where he serves as a Business Development Associate for M.L.Best Consulting. At M.L.Best Consulting it is Brent’s mission to paint an accurate picture of the soul of the business for the world to behold.

He has over 7+ years of marketing, web development, and graphic design experience, practicing in sectors of Arts & Entertainment, Renewable Energy, Financial Services, Food & Beverage, Fashion, and now Executive search. 

In Arts and entertainment, he created, marketed, planned, and executed live events such as concerts, music festivals, art shows, and more. He also managed recording artists and assisted them with developing their marketing strategies, public engagement strategies, brand guidelines, and overall brand presence. In the energy sector, he is a senior marketing, brand consultant, and strategist. In the Food and Beverage sector, he has served as a marketing and brand consultant.

Mr. Best is proficient in HTML/CSS, Javascript, Python, C#, Swift WordPress, Google Analytics, and Google Ad Words. He is thrilled to put years of hard work, trial and error, and study to good use at M.L. Best Consulting.

Biography

Deidre Davis is an accomplished Global Talent Acquisition Leader with over ten years of experience in the recruitment industry, focusing on media, publishing, and entertainment. She has a proven record for optimizing recruitment experiences through innovative leadership, strategic planning, and effective problem-solving which speaks volumes about her expertise and passion for the industry. 

Throughout her career, she has continued to hone her skills and expand her network, building and cultivating relationships with both, candidates and with industry leaders that have allowed her access to a vast pool of talent which she leverages for her clients. She has been instrumental in transforming recruitment processes to better align with company goals, particularly noted for her ability to drive large-scale transformational change. As Head of Talent Acquisition at BuzzFeed Inc., she led a talent acquisition team that revamped recruiting guidelines for a global workforce. Before BuzzFeed Inc., Deidre was Director of Talent Acquisition at Complex Networks, where she optimized recruiting efforts and spearheaded diversity and inclusion initiatives that markedly increased the company’s DE&I hiring pipeline. 

Deidre holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Clark Atlanta University and a Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Certificate from E-Cornell University. Her commitment to professional development and passion for creating inclusive, dynamic work environments have established her as a leader in the field, capable of managing complex recruitment ecosystems with a keen focus on efficiency and effectiveness.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Deidre’s approach is characterized by a deep understanding of the nuances of global recruitment, people management, and program development. She strongly advocates diversity and inclusion in the workplace and actively seeks opportunities to champion underrepresented voices across various industries.
